Russian armed invasion has forced many childless families to postpone their surrogacy program in Ukraine, primarily for safety reasons. Successful Parents Agency understands this because we personally had to completely change our internal regulations to adapt to work in new conditions and ensure the well-being of all parties involved in the program. However, we consider it wrong to decide to give up, even if only temporarily, our dream of having a child of our own. Therefore, our Agency offers clients to conduct the surrogacy program with frozen biological materials (sperm or embryos) shipped to Ukraine without the need for them to travel to Ukraine.

Based on our experience, we carefully elaborated the following programs for you:

  • choosing a surrogate mother from our database;
  • fresh medical tests for a surrogate mother;
  • organization and documentation of the program;
  • medications to prepare a surrogate mother for embryo(s) transfer;

The surrogate mother's compensation for the entire duration of the program is 22,600 $. It is paid directly to the surrogate mother in several installments according to the agreement between the surrogate mother and the intended parents.

INITIAL ENQUIRY

SIGNING THE CONTRACT

We will send you a contract that you sign with our Agency. The contract is in English and prepared by our lawyers in compliance with the legislation of Ukraine. Our cooperation starts when the contract is signed and upon receiving the advance payment from you.

SHIPPING OF YOUR FROZEN MATERIAL

Next, we will help you choose a courier service to deliver your frozen biological material (embryos or sperm) to Ukraine. It can be our partner company or any other courier company of your choice. We coordinate the exchange of information and documents between the clinic where your biological materials are stored and the Ukrainian clinic, ensuring quick and safe delivery to Ukraine.

SELECTION OF EGG DONOR/SURROGATE MOTHER

Once your biological material is delivered to the clinic in Ukraine, we select and send you detailed profiles (please click to view a sample of egg donor profile and surrogate mother profile) with photos of the candidates who are willing and ready to participate in your program. All candidates in our database are selected during the careful screening of their current state of health, medical history, living conditions, and social background. You can look through the profiles of the candidates to find your dream egg donor and surrogate mother. We assist you in this search based on our knowledge of each candidate. When you make your choice, we reserve the candidates for your program.

IVF TREATMENT

Experienced doctors in one of our partner clinics carry out all medical procedures related to your program. We fully coordinate the program, accompany the egg donor/surrogate mother to the clinic, help them to communicate with the clinic personnel, and take care of all the details. At your request, you can access all medical reports and documents related to your program. All necessary contracts with the clinic and medical applications will be signed by the employee of the Agency based on a power of attorney.

PREGNANCY AND BABY DELIVERY

Two weeks after the embryo(s) transfer, the surrogate mother does a blood pregnancy test to determine whether the attempt was successful. Once the pregnancy is confirmed, we guide the surrogate mother throughout the pregnancy (daily regimen, regular check-ups, screenings, etc.). We facilitate communication between clients and the surrogate mother and inform clients continuously about the program's progress. We arrange accommodation for the surrogate mother in Kyiv starting the seventh month of pregnancy. We make all necessary arrangements with the maternity hospital, and after childbirth, we prepare all documents to obtain the birth certificate.

Q&A

Only officially married couples with medical reasons envisaged by Ukrainian legislation can apply for a surrogacy program in Ukraine.

It is individual and depends both on the surrogate mother’s health condition and on the quality of biological materials, etc. On average, you might need 1 - 3 attempts.

The client pays the program's cost in several installments. You shall pay in advance only for the next step in the program.

According to Ukrainian legislation (in particular, Article 123 of the Family Code of Ukraine), the surrogate mother has no parental rights over the baby born in the process of the surrogacy program.

The price for the next attempt with the same surrogate mother is 3,150 $, which includes a medical examination of the surrogate mother, medications to prepare the surrogate mother for the embryo(s) transfer, defrosting of vitrified embryos, embryo(s) transfer to a surrogate mother (one attempt), and compensations for the surrogate mother.

Only the intended parents’ names are written on the baby's birth certificate; the surrogate mother is not mentioned.

You will need to come after childbirth to receive all necessary documents to bring your child home. But intended parents usually arrive several days before childbirth to be first to hold the baby.

Yes, upon the client’s request, we can arrange childbirth and issuing a birth certificate in Lviv, close to the border with Poland.

No, according to the legislation of Ukraine, a surrogate mother cannot be genetically related to the baby she carries for the intended parents. If intended parents need an egg donor as part of their surrogacy program, another woman should be chosen for egg donation. The selected candidate cannot simultaneously be an egg donor and surrogate mother for the fertility program.

Women who smoke, take drugs, or consume alcohol are not accepted into any program related to fertility treatment. As an extra measure, all surrogate mothers sign a contract that strictly regulates their behavior. It is also envisaged in the contract that the surrogate mother will be subject to fines if she violates any paragraph of her agreement with the intended parents, including the possible cancellation of the contract.
